Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Creating an account is simple and free. Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation, choose whether you're a client or worker, and fill in your basic information.
What's the difference between client and worker accounts?
Clients post jobs and hire workers for their projects. Workers create profiles, apply for jobs, and provide services.
How do I create a worker profile?
After signing up as a worker, go to your dashboard and click "Create Worker Profile." Add your skills, experience, service area, and portfolio photos to attract clients.
Jobs & Hiring
How do I post a job?
As a client, click "Post Job" from your dashboard. Describe what you need, set your budget (fixed or range), choose a category, and specify your location.
How do I apply for a job?
As a worker, browse jobs and click "Apply" on ones that match your skills. Write a personalized message explaining why you're the right choice for the job.
How does payment work?
TheListing.Space doesn't handle payments. Clients and workers arrange payment directly between themselves. Discuss payment terms before starting work.
What are ratings and how do they work?
After completing a job, both clients and workers can rate each other with a thumbs up or down. Ratings help build trust in the community.
Safety & Security
How do I stay safe when meeting workers?
Meet in public places for initial consultations, verify the worker's identity, check their ratings and reviews, and trust your instincts.
What should I do if someone asks for money upfront?
Be cautious of requests for upfront payments. Legitimate workers typically don't require full payment before starting work. Discuss payment terms clearly.
How do I report inappropriate behavior?
Use the "🚩 Report" button on profiles, job listings, or messages. Select the appropriate reason and provide details. Our team will review all reports.
Technical Support
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email address and we'll send you a password reset link.
How do I change my email or phone number?
Go to your profile settings from the dropdown menu in the navigation. You can update your contact information there.
Why isn't my location working properly?
Make sure you've enabled location permissions in your browser and that your postal code is correct in your profile settings.
